TJs Minis – Where everyone can make a difference

Rugby is a sport enjoyed by boys and girls of all ages, sizes and abilities. Our Minis section caters for boys and girls from Reception (U6) right through to Year 6 (U11).

Which age group your child falls into will depend on their age on 1st September each season. So if your child is 6 by the 1st September then he/she is an Under 7.
We encourage all new players and their families to come along and give it a go first. This gives the child, the family and the Club a chance to decide if it's right for them/us

The main aim of every training session and game we play is for the children to have FUN, while learning fundamental sporting skills and life skills, in a safe environment. From our fantastic coaches and parents to every boy and girl that braves the pitch every Sunday morning, we all do so for the same reason – we want to champion rugby’s core values of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, enjoyment and respect, all while inspiring a lifelong bond between children, adults and our sport. But above all our main aim is to have FUN - kids, coaches and parents alike.

At TJs we instil the ethos right from the start that everyone that partakes in rugby can make a difference – to make that pass, to make that tackle, to score that try or to pick your team mate up when they are down – everyone has a role to play. We offer an inclusive environment where everyone, with or without experience, is welcome and will be encouraged right from the start. We put children at the heart of everything we do and all the decisions we make - if they are happy then the results on the rugby pitch can be amazing.
