Tjs negotiated a tough N2E opening tie against Dorking at The Slade on Saturday. Leading 29-3 at the break after a superb first 40 minutes TJs edged further ahead but Dorking gradually found a way back to make things a tad nervy for a few in a 45-31 final scoreline.
The TJ faithful will have been buoyed by the desire and quality of handling from Tjs whilst the large travelling Dorking contingent will have seen enough to know that come the return tie both of these squads should be in the top of the table mix.
Howard Packman and Curtis Barnes took the try-scoring plaudits and Tom White and Sam Evans added the extras with their respective boots.
The 2s also kicked off their Counties 3 Kent campaign with a 10-50 away win over T Wells. And the 3s saw off a friendly Gravesend challenge 14-19
Sunday saw a very busy Slade both inside and out as the Minis and Juniors with added Rugby Taggers for the even younger ones as well.
