Whilst it was heavy going under foot for TJs on Saturday they still managed 7 tries, not all through lineout drives, to secure another maximum points win and remain top of N2E
Will Holling crossed for two first half tries and Duncan Tout added a third and TJs went in 17-9 ahead. Havant had slotted 3 penalties and just missed out on a couple of tries of their own as the scrambling TJ defence just managed to thwart them at the key moments.
Second half tries from Howard Packman, Ben Mutch, Sam Evans and Maciu Nabogi sealed the deal for TJs to keep them 6 points clear at the top of N2E with a game in hand.
Second placed Barnes beat Guernsey 24-14 but third placed Dorking came unstuck in a surprise 48-24 loss at Oxford Harlequins. Canterbury, who TJs travel to play next Saturday at 3pm, were beaten 22-18 at Westcombe Park
On Sunday the U14 Girls lifted the Kent Cup at Beckenham. A 19-5 win over Beccs Valley secured the title
Back at The Slade TJs Academy took on Rosslyn Park in their NCC QF. In even muddier conditions Tjs led 7-5 at the break.
However as the tension built RP slotted a penalty to go in front. Despite a last minute penalty from Tjs hitting the crossbar they couldn't regain the lead
And the U12s slid to their first Kent Waterfall defeat of the season, a 20-15 loss at Combe
